Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle: Review

When the Revlon Lip Butters launched in India, I was beyond excited. With all of the hype in the blogging and YouTube world, I was finally going to be able to give this product a try myself. I originally wanted to try the Tutti Frutti shade, but it seems to be sold out everywhere. So I settled for Pink Truffle which looked like a nice pinky everyday shade.

For me, this wasn't a miracle product. I do like it, but for some reason, I didn't love it. Maybe it was because I was expecting magic, but it didn't amaze me or anything.
Pink Truffle is a nice pink colour with the slightest hint of peach. I wear this to college most of the days, so I obviously like it. One thing I don't like is that it doesn't last very long. I have to keep reapplying every one to two hours. It has a nice glossy finish when you first apply it, and that fades into a nice sheen. It's also nice and moisturising which is a bonus during this season.

The picture above is a better representation of it's colour than the first picture which looks brown, for some reason.
The packaging of the Revlon Lip Butters is nice and pretty, too. However, the edges tend to get dirty because of the product, as you can probably see.

Overall, I do like this product a lot and will probably use it all up because I love lip balmy products for everyday wear. But I don't think I'll go ahead and purchase any more Revlon Lip Butters, simply because I'm not entirely sure they're worth the price tag. I know a lot of people absolutely love them, and maybe the other shades are fabulous, but I'm not risking it.
The Revlon Lip Butters retail for Rs.600 and can be purchased at most Revlon counters.

  1. love this shade ! :)

  2. Nice review :)
Looks really tempting but I'm still hesitant to pick it up because of the price tag :(

    1. Yep. I'd suggest you pick it only if you're crazy about the colour.
