Maybelline The Colossal Kajal: Review

One of the most hyped products right now is Maybelline's Colossal Kajal. Practically everyone I know owns one of these. Like, even people who are not usually into makeup. So I thought I ought to go try it out for myself. And now I have been using it for quite a while. So do I think it's worth the hype?

Quite honestly, I don't think there's anything miraculous about this product. It's a good product. It does the job. I even use it as eyeliner sometimes, when I want a smudgy look. You can see that here. It makes for a good kajal. But it isn't extraordinary.
The twist up packaging is nice and easy to use. But I didn't find the application to be super smooth. It was a little on the dry side for me. But two swipes gave almost full opacity. And it's a nice alternative when I'm not feeling like messing about with my gel liner.
I use it on my waterline, and it hasn't given me any problems. Yes, it does smudge on me, but the smudging is bearable. Nothing tremendous.

One swipe, Two swipes

Overall, I think this is a good product. I'm still on the lookout for a nice, smooth pencil liner. This isn't supposed to be an eyeliner, anyway.
Maybelline's The Colossal Kajal retails for Rs. 150 and can be purchased wherever Maybelline products are sold.
