On My Face: Daytime Neutrals

I wouldn't call myself particularly experimentative with my makeup. I mean, I like my neutral eyeshadow, but that is on the rare occasions I actually even wear eyeshadow. Yes, I do enjoy my fair share of bold eyeliner and can wear it even on a daily basis (and even would, if taking it off wasn't such a pain).
Here's a look that I don't actually wear on a daily basis, simply because it involves eyeshadow and that is the last thing I want to fuss around with at 6 am. This was more of a Sunday, day-time look.

For my base I'm wearing all my regular base products that I've done an entire post on. But basically they include, the Garnier BB Cream, Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer and the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. For my eyes, I started with a thick, not winged, but sort of extended line of the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. I did a little bit of crease contouring using the dark matte brown from my Maybelline Chai Latte Quad. I also used some of that mixed with the lighter brown from the quad to fill my brows (I use that quad too much for it to look pretty, as you can probably tell).
I finished off the eyes with some of my Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. Oh and I also smudged the tiniest bit of Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Sparkling Brown on my lower lash line. When I wear blush, I make sure I use quite a small amount and I also blend it really well -especially if I'm just having a casual day and don't want to look overly made up, but still want that tiny bit of colour on my cheeks. So that's what I did using Estee Lauder blush in Potpourri. I finished off with some of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous on my lips, to slightly match the blush and that's about it!

I don't usually do posts like these, mostly because, like I mentioned, I'm not super creative with my makeup. But then again, most people aren't, right? So I thought I could talk about the select few neutral looks I experiment with. And this is also an easy way to write about products I'm loving with a face swatch to go with it ('face swatch' doesn't sound like the best terminology, but let's just sail with it for now).

PS: I got my laptop back! So the next post may just be my 2013 favourites.
