This Week: Maybelline Colorshow in Buried Treasure

Right now, on my nails, I have on Maybelline's Color Show nail polish in Buried Treasure. And it's quite pretty! I like it. It isn't a colour I would typically go for, but when I saw it in the bottle it looked so gorgeous, I had to give it a try.

The Maybelline Color Show nail polishes are freakin' awesome. I was never a fan of Maybelline's Colorama range, but the Color Show are nothing like them. Personally, I love polishes that dry super quick so I don't have to wait around forever with wet nails, not being able to do much else. So quick-dry is one of my top priorities. And these polishes definitely do that. To add to that they have my favourite type of nail polish brush: the wide, flat kind. I know some people prefer the long, skinny brushes but those do nothing for me. The formula of these are also pretty amazing: not too think, not too runny. And they aren't even streaky- two coats and you have full opacity.

Buried Treasure is a gray-purple with gold shimmer. The shimmer is quite subtle, but you can definitely see it, especially when your nails catch the light. The gold shimmer almost makes it look like a duo-chrome, but it's actually not one.

In the long lasting department, this stuff isn't the absolute best. I will definitely see a little bit of chipping and fading by day three, or even two sometimes. But I think if sealed with a topcoat, this should last a good while. Too bad I don't use topcoat. I really do think I should get myself one, though.

If you're someone who likes colours like these, Buried Treasure is definitely one to try. And the best part is that they are super affordable. They retail for Rs.75, which is awesome.
