My January Favourites '13

I love reading about/watching people's monthly favourites. Therefore, one of the things I planned for 2013 was to start doing monthly favourites posts. Because they are fun, and I wanted to do them.
January has been quite a dull month for me with respect to trying out new products. Especially in the makeup department. I haven't purchased anything new, or don't remember, anyway. So these are the bunch of things that I've actually used and loved using throughout the month. I hope you're sitting down with popcorn for this nice, lengthy post.

Makeup

Colorbar Instant Coverup Stick Concealer

As much as I wasn't absolutely impressed with this concealer when I first started using it, I've really come to love it now. It's perfect for the under eye area and in an emergency, it even covers up a little bit of redness here and there.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze

I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I wear it so much. On its own and as a base for eyeshadow. It's so pretty and easy to wear! If you are always late to everything like I am, you'll understand why I appreciate this product so much -just sweep it across your eyelid, and you're ready to go out.

Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte

This is one of the first makeup products I ever purchased and it's still one of the most used. Chai Latte is a really nice neutral eyeshadow quad with two shimmery and two matte shadows. Honestly, I mostly use the matte ones. I mix them both for the perfect brow colour and also use them as regular eyeshadow. You can see I've hit pan on the light brown because it's such a pretty, simple crease colour.
Sadly, I think Maybelline has discontinued this palette so if you manage to find it, grab it!

Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm in Pink Blossom

I love lip stains and lip tints and when the tints are bright, even better! That is exactly what this product does and I cannot live without this stuff. I'm not even exaggerating -this is my second tube and I'm practically through with this, too!

L'oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara

I've really come to love this mascara. I think it's definitely worth the money I spent on it. It lengthens, volumizes and generally makes me feel good. You will not believe how many people have asked me what mascara I'm wearing these days. And these are people who aren't makeup freaks, mind you.

Skin

Clean and Clear Foaming Facial Wash and Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion

I've been using the Clean and Clear facewash since I don't remember when. There's always a couple of bottles lying around my house at all times. It's just a nice, no nonsense, lathery facewash that takes off any dirt, greasiness and makeup that may be on my face by the end of the day.
The Cetaphil Cleanser, on the other hand, is what I've been liking to use in the mornings when I don't want to put my face through any soapiness.

Vaseline Total Moisture Body Lotion in Cocoa Glow

This stuff has saved my skin from drying out into complete ugliness. And I love the scent so it puts me to sleep, too.

Hair

Moroccan Moisture Leave-in Spray

The Moroccan Moisture Leave in Spray is by a brand called FX, I believe. I hadn't really heard about them but the product seemed interesting so I got it. And -OH MY GOD. It's amazing.
It has the nicest smell. I would spray this on even if it was only hair perfume or something. But it moisturizes my hair as well! Bonus! I use this on both damp as well as dry hair and it works just fine both ways.

Other Favourites

Moving on to other favourites, I have been obsessed with Gossip Girl (still am). For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to watch the show again all the way from season one because I had missed so much throughout the years. And now I'm hooked.
I haven't really read any good books this month which is a little disappointing but I hope 2013 has some amazing reads waiting for me.
As for music, I discovered this Canadian indie pop band called BOY and I love their songs. Especially Skin, July and Oh Boy. I LOVE THEM! I also discovered Eliza Doolittle's Skinny Genes which is such a fun song, too!
And finally, I thought I'd tell you about my favourite app (for Android) of the month, too. It's 8tracks. If you're a music person, and haven't already downloaded it, go do that right now, please. It's basically a playlist app. It has a playlist for your every mood. It's perfect.

That is it for my exceptionally long post. Phew. Good day!
