Pretty much everyone I know are into online shopping, it's not even new anymore. But for some reason, I've not been big on buying stuff online (except for books). I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because I always feared stuff would reach me in a bad condition, or they wouldn't fit, or something. But I shopped from Jabong.com recently and I actually quite enjoyed the process! Here are my thoughts-

Dress For The Season: Fall '14 Outfit Ideas
Despite the fact that it's still hot out here in Mumbai, I can definitely feel the air getting dry and the evenings getting just that tad bit cooler. You know what that means? Winters are close. In anticipation of our upcoming winters, here's a bunch of outfit ideas.
Let's start with admitting that many of us live in places that don't actually have seasons. Mumbai, for instance. We don't have an autumn. We barely have a winter, although I like to believe we do (we do!). But for the sake of this post, let's call this season fall, all right? I believe in enjoying trends of every season, no matter what. Also, I don't believe you need giant coats and heavy knitwear to classify your outfit as fall/winter appropriate. The world is a flexible place. Let's tailor fall clothing to whatever temperature we are bestowed with, yeah?

Product Love: L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara
Ever since the very first time I tried out mascara, I've been a fan. I love how a good mascara can just pull your entire makeup together in the most subtle way. I'm a huge Maybelline The Falsies lover, but I do drift every now and then. L'oreal is one of the few brands that almost always gets their mascaras perfectly on point. The last L'oreal mascara I had tried was the Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara, and I loved that. But this one? I love it so much better.

The Perfect Pick-Me-Up Shower Product
If you read my Crappy Days post you probably know that I've been ill with jaundice and therefore haven't left my home in weeks. I miss putting some makeup on, getting all dressed up and going out for the day. I literally put on some red lipstick when I was going to the doctor's today, but then took it off in the last minute because I was sure he'd think I'm crazy. But anyway, the one thing that has been my go-to pamper product has been this Original Source shower gel. It has provided me with a great deal of happiness, I can tell you that.

#CosmopolitanChic: Outfit Pieces That Multi-Task
Vegas.com asked me to create a few different outfits that would be perfect for a day at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, one of the premier hotel properties in, you guessed it, Las Vegas, as part of their #CosmopolitanChic blog challenge. Now, I've never actually been to Vegas, but I thought it would be fun to put together a few outfits that are appropriate for a vacation when you want to be super glamourous without having to pack up your entire wardrobe.

Crap Health, Hospital Visits and Just Having A Bad Time
So here you go. Here's a life update for those of you who still lurk around my rather lonely blog. But it's been lonely for a reason and here's why. If you follow me on twitter you probably already know that I've been ill with jaundice and typhoid and whatnot. But this isn't the first time I've been ill in the past couple of months. Instead, it almost feels like this was the cherry on top of the cake.

On My Nails: Maybelline Color Show in Constant Candy
I think that my taste in nail polish has changed quite a bit in the recent past. I am really loving nudes and almost nudes, subtle pastels, but also the odd dark burgundy for my nails. But one of my all time favourite nail colours to sport is a pale, pale pink. It is white but not white, neutral but not nude, feminine without being too out-there and just over all very pretty. And here the nail polish I've been sporting for most of September.

Makeup Cleanup: Products I Threw Out
I love cleaning up and organising. I really do. But there are some parts of my room I like to ignore. My makeup drawers, for example. There's just too much stuff that requires (immediate) attention and throwing out, that I like to ignore it altogether. But recently I decided to not think about it too much and just go for it. Clean that shiz up. So I pulled out all my makeup and had a good look at it. And here are some of the gross, expired, dried up or just plain unflattering gems I pulled out.

The Chilled-Out Product: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
I believe that makeup is meant to be played with. There aren't rules here. If a product doesn't work for me a certain way, I try using it for something else. For example, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous was a very exciting purchase for me because I had heard so many good things about this product. However, I was disappointed when I tried it on because it just wasn't pigmented enough for me and looked odd and glossy on my lips. Not my best look. But then I came up with an alternate use for it. Now I love it.

One Dress, Two Ways: Easy Summer Style
I had an obsession with buying dressy dresses. Expensive, dressy dresses. Until one day I realized that I have so many of them and barely enough places to wear them to. If you have friends like mine, you'd know how the only places you go out to are eating places that don't require you to throw on those heels and that snazzy dress. Putting on some red lipstick is as fancy as it gets.
So now, I like to buy clothes that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

Instagram #3
I've been down with all sorts of illnesses lately. It sucks but I've just been chillin' at home, skipping college. Well, not really. I still have loads of work to do, articles to write, exams to study for. I've recently been OBSESSED with Twitter. It's incredibly fun to read about irrelevant details of people's lives. No, it really is. Link me to your twitter handle, if you're on it too.
Anyway, here's what I've been up to since my last Instagram post.

L'oreal Super Liner- Instant Impact Felt Liner (Review)
So do you remember how sometime in the beginning of this year I had done a post called My 2014 Realistic Makeup Wishlist? Well, a month ago, I went ahead and got myself one of the products mentioned in there. It was a bit of a tough purchase to make because I was basically about to give away my money to get myself some liquid eyeliner that was going to dry up in a few months anyway. But I love eyeliner and wear it all the time. So I finally bit the bullet and bought the L'oreal Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner. My idea was that if it could give me even a few months of really good eyeliner days, it would be worth the seven hundred or whatever bucks I pay for it.
Bad idea.

Its Okay to Feel Like Crap
Do you have moments in your life when you feel like absolute poo? Well, I have them a lot. I've been meaning to put up a product review on here for a while now but haven't gotten around to doing it. I don't even know why. Life has been too overwhelming, yet underwhelming at the same time.
I never really write about anything personal on here, but through the years my blog has started to become a better representation of who I really am. And since I was having one of my often recurring shitty days, I decided to write about it on my internet diary instead of in the book lying somewhere in the back of my cupboard. I don't even know if anyone is going to end up reading this. But if you are, I hope I don't bore you too much.

How To Avoid Looking Like A Mess This Summer
Summer is officially here. Or, well, it has been for a while. But I only really spent a good amount of time outside today and OHMYGOD it is hot. A few hours outside and I was a sweaty mess by the time I got home. So I thought I'd put together a post sharing a few of my tips on how to look and feel your best while it is sweltering outside. This probably isn't for you if you're one of the lucky few who don't have to travel by local trains/sit through long college lectures/walk around unsheltered under the sun.
Also, this isn't about protecting yourself from the intense heat. Everyone knows sunscreen is great. And I'm no skin expert. These are my tips on how to look a little less disgusting during this crappy season.

Sunscreen Love: Lacto Calamine Sun Shield
I've been on the hunt for the perfect sunscreen for a while now. I used the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer for ages, but never fell in love with it (always found it a little too greasy), I got to try out the Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defence and LOVED it, but it was too expensive to purchase. Then I tried out the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL and I liked that, too, despite it being just a tad bit greasy and having a funny scent. But my hunt for the perfect sunscreen hadn't ended.
Until I came across this little guy.

On My Face: Nighttime Sparkles
I used to be so scared to put my face up on this blog (remember those days?) but now that I went ahead and made a YouTube channel, I'm like, whatevz. So here's my second On My Face post (the first was a Daytime Neutral look). This is basically as fancy as I get. For now, at least.

Squeaky Clean Hair For Summer
It is scorching out here in Mumbai and you know what that means? That means it's time for extra effort on hair and skin care. I already did a post on my new skincare additions for the season, and here's what I added to my hair care routine!

Summer Skincare: La Roche-Posay
Summers usually are a hard time for my skin. I get oily, I tend to break out more, I tend to not want to moisturize, and basically I have crazy skin, but no time or patience for skincare. This year, therefore, I decided to cut down on makeup and focus more on skincare during summer. The problem, however, is that I don't know too much about skincare. Thus, I decided to pick up the much loved, online beauty community favourite, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo.

Favourite Fashion Trends For Summer 2014+Outfit Ideas!
Honestly, I find it extremely hard to get excited about the summer, mostly because it's so damn hot out here in Mumbai, and the sweaty look is not my best look -half my hair sticking to my face and the other half frizzing up, makeup melting away...it's just not pleasant. BUT, what's awesome about clothes and accessories is that they don't go cray cray with a minor change in temperature. Which is why, every summer, I concentrate my energies on putting together a cute outfit, instead of throwing makeup on my face. And here are the trends I think are pretty awesome and easy to pull off for the season.

Liquid Lipstick
Lip products have to be some of my favourite type of products to go out shopping for. And I've always been a lipstick girl -even back when only lip gloss was considered cool and lipstick was only meant for mommies. But now we have lipsticks and lip gloss and lip balms and lip stains and whatnot. And then we even have hybrids of these. Liquid lipstick is actually lipstick that's packaged as lip gloss but is actually lipstick in liquid form. I thought that was so interesting so I had to have a go at them. Now I know I haven't tried all the million variations they come in, but I've tried two types -one glossy, one matte. Here are my thoughts:

Product Love: Maybelline Colorshow in Downtown Red
In my February Favourites I mentioned my love for Maybelline's Color Show nail polish in Downtown Red. And I am not even kidding when I say that this is what has been on my nails pretty much permanently for the past two months. I won't be surprised if I manage to exhaust the entire bottle sometime soon.

Instagram #2
Finally, I thought it was time I did a second installment of my Instagram post series. The last one I posted was back in July. So I guess this would be more of a Best of Instagram post. Let's call it that, then. So I'm going to pick random moments in my life via Instagram, evaluate them, stick a bunch of them that I like best together, and write a post about it. Yay. Let's go.

The Unrealistic Makeup Wishlist
Well, my realistic makeup wishlist went down well, and I quite enjoyed creating it, so I thought, how much more fun would it be to create an unrealistic one? A lot of fun, I can tell you that much. Now, I put these in my unrealistic wishlist for two reasons -one, they are a little on the, um, pricier side for my college girl allowance; and two, most of these aren't even available in India.
So here goes! My unrealistic makeup wishlist:

Product Love: The Makeup All-Rounder
If you've been around here for a while, you probably know that the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer is my all time favourite product -my island product, if you may. But if I were allowed to take one more product with me to that island, this would be the one. Why? Because I can do just so much with it. This is the Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick in MAT1.

2013 Makeup Favourites
2013 was quite a good year for me, makeup-wise (and otherwise, too!). At least compared to 2012, I made quite a few good discoveries and found some products that work amazingly well for me. Here are the select few things that I can bet are definitely worth a try, if you haven't tried them already.
Also, I apologize for the extreme delay in posting this, but if you haven't already read about this, my laptop was down and the images blocked in them. So without further ado, here goes my Favourites for the Year 2013.

On My Face: Daytime Neutrals
I wouldn't call myself particularly experimentative with my makeup. I mean, I like my neutral eyeshadow, but that is on the rare occasions I actually even wear eyeshadow. Yes, I do enjoy my fair share of bold eyeliner and can wear it even on a daily basis (and even would, if taking it off wasn't such a pain).
Here's a look that I don't actually wear on a daily basis, simply because it involves eyeshadow and that is the last thing I want to fuss around with at 6 am. This was more of a Sunday, day-time look.

My 2014 (Realistic) Makeup Wishlist
Now that it's 2014, I have an entire year of makeup to look forward to. I found some amazing products in 2013, and hopefully, I will expand my collection, as well knowledge of makeup this year. I had a 2013 favourites post, but my laptop crashed with all my photos in it and it's taking ages to get fixed (which explains the lack of posts). BUT, what I can show you is a list of products I really want to try out and will hopefully get my hands on sometime this year. I tried keeping this realistic and not including products that aren't available here, but, um, you can see I wasn't fully successful there...
Anyway, getting on with what this post is actually about, here is my wishlist of products for 2014.

Would You Rather: Beauty Edition (Video)
It's freakin' 2014! My year started off pretty well. I went on a short vacation with my favourite people, and now I'm back and it's time to catch up on what I left behind in this brief time. So I decided, why not start this year of blogging with a video post? So here we are. This is the Would You Rather Tag (Beauty Edition).
