My 2014 (Realistic) Makeup Wishlist

Now that it's 2014, I have an entire year of makeup to look forward to. I found some amazing products in 2013, and hopefully, I will expand my collection, as well knowledge of makeup this year. I had a 2013 favourites post, but my laptop crashed with all my photos in it and it's taking ages to get fixed (which explains the lack of posts). BUT, what I can show you is a list of products I really want to try out and will hopefully get my hands on sometime this year. I tried keeping this realistic and not including products that aren't available here, but, um, you can see I wasn't fully successful there...
Anyway, getting on with what this post is actually about, here is my wishlist of products for 2014.

#1 I'm quite hesitant to try a proper full coverage foundation. I just settle for BB creams and tinted moisturizer most of the time. But I have heard so much about the MAC Face and Body Foundation, that I really want to give it a go. I have a feeling I'm going to like this one. Besides, if not on a daily basis, I do think that some foundation during nice evenings out would be a good idea.

#2 Okay, so I'm not entirely sure if this is released in India or not, but I definitely want to try the NYX Matte Lipsticks. The burgundy shade is an absolute stunner. If they aren't available here, I believe the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream line has a similar shade that looks great, too!

#3 Back to foundation (if you can't already tell, I definitely want to increase my knowledge in this area), here's a more affordable option. This is another product I heard about so freakin' much and is definitely available here, which is a relief. It is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. It does look like a more heavy coverage foundation, but I'd still like to give it a shot.

#4 Some time mid 2013, as I wandered around a L'oreal counter, I came across the L'oreal Color Riche Intense Lipsticks and I am not even kidding, the image of that swatch is still stuck in my head. It was so gorgeous. So hopefully, I can get my hands on at least one of those (they are on the pricey side!)

#5 Another one from L'oreal is the L'oreal Super Liner. I've, again, heard a gazillion good things about this one, and since I love me some liquid liner, I think this one'll be a good purchase.

#6 This is probably the one I'm most excited about (read: the one I'm getting my hands on first). I absolutely love the Rimmel Apocalips line of liquid lipsticks/lip gloss/lip cream. I own the shade Celestial and have tried a few of the others and I'm a big fan. I definitely want to get hold of Apocalyptic, Stellar and maybe Luna, too. And now that they're available in India (WOOHOO!), my life just got easier. Plus, they've actually released all  the shades here, I'm pretty sure. Even the ones that released only recently in the UK.

#7 And finally... Yes, this isn't available here. And I can't think of a way to purchase it (I just ruined the 'realistic' claim). But I really want one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes! I think I'd like the original Naked palette the best, because it has warm toned neutrals, but honestly? Any of them would do. They all look so fabulous!

And that is about it for now. Of course, if I think about it, I'll come up with a ton of other stuff that I'd like to put on my wishlist, but for now, let's just end it here, yeah?

What is on your 2014 makeup wishlist?

  3. Ah, finally a list which is more realistic. And do try the L'Oreal lipsticks. I picked up one after much hesitation because of the price, but I absolutely love it.

  4. MAC Face & Body is THE foundation to have. Doesn't feel like you have foundation on and yet it gives you that flawless look. And UD Naked pallette.. gotta have!
For me, i'm building up my eye shadow collection so I have a few MAC and Inglot shadows in mind. Hopefully I should get a few this weekend :P

    1. Oh, I forgot to add an Inglot Freedom System pallette to the list! That'll probably be because I can't get hold of the Naked palette out here.
