Aaand, it's that time of the year again when I share with you guys a few outfit ideas that I think will be great to wear to a Christmas party. This is literally the only blog tradition I have, so I thought I might as well keep up with it. I've done one of these in 2011 as well as in 2012, so you can check those out too, but here's the third installment, my outfit ideas for Christmas 2013.
Number One
For those of you (like me) who like to keep things casual, a chunky sweater (or a not-so-chunky one, if you live somewhere it doesn't get too cold, again, like me) and a pair of black leggings is a great option. All you need is to add on a bit of bling -a necklace, earrings, whatever. Put on your favourite pair of heels, and you're good to go! OR you could also do ankle booties because they are on trend as well as super comfy. This is so in my comfort zone and hence, I'd wear something like this to a place where I'm not sure how to dress.
Number Two
You could also go super Christmassy and throw on a pretty dress. A pair of fancy ballet flats and some accessories and that's done. And if you think the outfit is too 'cute' for your taste, wear it with a dark lip. Now, this may not be for everyone, but I think a beanie with a pretty dress is so cool -it breaks down the ultra girliness and adds a little edge to the outfit. ( I NEED that beanie with the cat ears!)
Number Three
Third is a super chic, simple outfit -just black and white but with splashes of red here and there to make the outfit extra festive. And if you're like me and are still a little obsessed with crop tops, this is great. Of course, with a coat and tights if it gets cold.
Number Four
I think this is the ideal Christmas Party outfit. Aren't those shoes so adorable? And the dress is gorgeous, too (from Forever New) and I think it would flatter so many different body types. Paired with one simple accessory, a gold bangle or a watch, I think this is the classiest festive outfit of the lot.
Also, that Charlotte Tilbury palette is to die for. Isn't it so beautiful?!
Number Five
And finally, I want to say this is my favourite (but I feel like I've written that so many times already), but definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I, personally, am a big fan of dressing up shorts. I even wrote an entire post about it more than a year ago -I think shorts can create some really cool outfits. And, of course, I love combat boots, so I thought I might as well add them, too. And this was the end result! Not the most obvious choice for a Christmas party, but I like it!I hope you guys are thoroughly enjoying the festive season. I have exams to study for for the entire coming week and half. But everything feels better with the Christmas lights on, doesn't it?
Which of these outfits or pieces did you like best?
