My May Favourites 2013

I skipped a favourites post last month, so I wanted to make sure I put one up this month. I don't have too  many favourites from May, but I've got some good ones, I think.
 So here we go!

Makeup

I've been all about keeping it light on the eyes this past month. And I think I've worn eyeliner barely once or twice the entire month of May, which is HUGE for me. I've been loving some really pale eyeshadow on the lids and two good coats of mascara. I find the pale colour really makes the lashes stand out.
I've been using the beige from my Maybelline Time For Wine palette and I think it does a good job. I'm not a fan of the other eyeshadows in this palette simply because I think the quality is just not nice enough. But this beige works great for me.
Next I have my mini Bobbi Brown Illuminating Powder that I like to use to set my concealer with. I don't like using this all over my face, mostly because I think it's a tad bit too heavy for that. But it sets my concealer perfectly, provides some extra coverage and keeps my under eye area looking nice throughout the day!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I've been in love with the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product. You can read more about it in my favourite face products post.
And finally, the last makeup item here is a new baby of mine coming all the way from the UK, the Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial. I will definitely do an entire post dedicated to this product, but in short it is a beautiful pink liquid lipstick and I've been obsessed with it ever since I got it.

Skincare, Haircare and Nails

I've never been a big fan of oils for my hair, but when the Dove Elixir line came out, I really wanted to try it. So out of the three options available, I got the one meant for dry hair, with lavender and olive oil. My hair is quite dry and fizzy and I've been trying my best to grow it out looking healthy. I use one to two pumps of this product on the ends of my hair, before I sleep at night and I really think it has helped prevent split-ends. I wouldn't give it all the credit for that, but it has definitely been helpful.
I've been loving the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap as an evening cleanser/makeup remover and it works great for me. If you want to read my entire rant about it, check out my favourite cleansers post.
Moving on to nail polish, I've been so into pastels that I really need to switch to bright colours and I have now, but for the month of May, my favourites would have to be Revlon's Pink Chiffon and Colorbar's Exclusive 42.

Other Favourites

For random favourites, my favourite part: first off, I've been thoroughly enjoying my vacations (I have less than a week for college to start now!). For music I've been loving Bastille and Imagine Dragons. Like, literally, every song they've ever sung, I love. For more individual songs, I really like Heart Attack by Demi Lovato. I don't like much of her music anymore, but how fun and upbeat is that song? I think I'd have a heart attack. Also, I Love It by Icona Pop. Super fun and a perfect pick-me-up song.
Game of Thrones has been my obsession this past month. I haven't read the books, but I fully intend on reading them, cause I freakin love the TV series. Oh, and Revenge in the beginning of May. I can't wait for the next season to start.
For food I've been loving bananas with peanut butter. I think it's the coolest way to incorporate some bananas in my diet because I don't really like them on their own. And finally, I LOVE Lindt's Lindor. Especially the dark chocolate one.

I predict June is going to be a super busy month for me, but I'm also super excited for it.

How has your month been?
