<i><br /></i>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NB79QAzJiWQ/Vpsg-AbxVLI/AAAAAAAACn8/FmaOWYvF6fQ/s1600/46.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="388" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NB79QAzJiWQ/Vpsg-AbxVLI/AAAAAAAACn8/FmaOWYvF6fQ/s400/46.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
I always went with ‘people suck’. But I have come to realize
that they don’t. No, they don’t suck. But they break and change and things
inevitably fall apart. So don’t attach yourself to people. In time you will
learn that you will do it anyway. You will attach yourself to people and it
will make you happy and you will wonder why you ever thought people sucked.
Like I mentioned earlier – no, they don’t suck. People are amazing.
Relationships are amazing. Relationships lead to memories. Memories are like
capsules of time. They are amazing. You need to collect them – as many as you
can. It’s the only way to exist, really. And for that, you need people. So
people aren’t horrible. What they are, however, is fragile.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Think about yourself for a minute. Think about how fragile
your own mind is. Think about how easily things can get to you. Think about it
for a second. Do you see? That’s everyone. Do you see how that’s a problem?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It means that the connections
you make with people aren’t strong bonds. They are like a delicate, intricate
piece of lace. They are beautiful. But they are easy to tear. So here’s my best
advice for you. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Keep the lace – it’s
beautiful.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Keep all the lace you can. Collect lace like
you want to fill your home with it. Decorate your walls with it. But don’t rely
on it to save you.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Because it cannot. Its just
lace.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And you know what happens if you
use it when things get tough? It tears. And then there’s little you can do to
fix it. You can try to stitch it up but it will never, ever be the same again. And
you will hate yourself for it.</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
So don’t do it, man. </div>
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
<i>This is a short piece I wrote some time back and I didn't intend for this to go up on the blog. When I read it again, however, I thought it would be nice to put it up. Do keep in mind that this is extremely personal writing and the 'you' that I often refer to is none other than me. It is a letter of advice from me to me, and is not intended to be seen as any form of preaching. I did consider editing it to suit a blogpost but when I started to do that, I realised it was losing its essence, in a way. Hence, because this is my blog and I do have the freedom to do whatever the hell I want, I copied and pasted it just as it was. </i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-45DdUySyn-E/Voyziy_BWNI/AAAAAAAACmY/fCikOUITnmw/s1600/IMG-20160101-WA0009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-45DdUySyn-E/Voyziy_BWNI/AAAAAAAACmY/fCikOUITnmw/s640/IMG-20160101-WA0009.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
New year resolutions are bullshit. So let's move on to what I wore on New Year's Eve.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xXCgsGCZ6as/Vozc0G5jnMI/AAAAAAAACmo/-PLmy61fvk0/s1600/IMG-20160101-WA0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xXCgsGCZ6as/Vozc0G5jnMI/AAAAAAAACmo/-PLmy61fvk0/s640/IMG-20160101-WA0003.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
First, let me put it out there that the image above is a highly unflattering depiction of one of my closest friends an she does <i>not </i>look anything like a psychopath is real life. Or in any other picture, for that matter. But I realised that I did not have any other image of me standing and hence I had to use that. Sorry, Po.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Anyway.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My outfit this year strongly resembled a night sky, I was told. I don't think you can tell from looking at the photos, but my stockings sparkled. And not in a subtle way. They <i>sparkled</i>. I was actually pretty happy with the entire outfit. It looked nice, it was as comfy as it gets, it kept me warm (although I did need a jacket towards the end of the night, but that doesn't count) <i>and </i> it sparkled.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>T-shirt: Zara</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Skirt: Forever 21</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Sparkly stockings: Vero Moda</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Ankle boots: Forever 21</i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbvFF7Lw8aY/VdGbOMJSfMI/AAAAAAAAClg/IakIylq-Erg/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.01.43%2Bpm.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="610" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbvFF7Lw8aY/VdGbOMJSfMI/AAAAAAAAClg/IakIylq-Erg/s640/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.01.43%2Bpm.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yeah whatever it doesn't get cold here in Mumbai. We've discussed this before. Moving on to the autumn trends I'm going to be excited about anyway, regardless of the weather. All the cool people say, "I don't follow trends, hate them."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I will admit, I quite like trends. They make me feel in synch with the universe. Or the blogging world, anyway. So here are three Autumn/Winter 2015 clothing trends I'm terribly excited about.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: left;">
<b>1. Fringe</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r-dXOlaSgng/VdGbWiEJZNI/AAAAAAAAClo/upAlxYhsnpQ/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.39%2Bpm.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r-dXOlaSgng/VdGbWiEJZNI/AAAAAAAAClo/upAlxYhsnpQ/s640/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.39%2Bpm.png" width="564" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I think suede fringe is okay, but there's something amazingly classy about leather fringe. Especially on sling bags and backpacks. </div>
<br />
<b>2. Athleisure</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-44H3CNbDbcY/VdGbc9_bn0I/AAAAAAAAClw/84yg9V7zMhk/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.25%2Bpm.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-44H3CNbDbcY/VdGbc9_bn0I/AAAAAAAAClw/84yg9V7zMhk/s640/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.25%2Bpm.png" width="576" /></a></div>
<br />
I used to be a really good runner when I was a kid, but that is about as close to sports as I got. But I'm totally digging the sporty vibe in clothing. Besides, I love sneakers.<br />
<br />
<b>3. Flared Jeans</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6yHjjmjSerA/VdGbjTeQl1I/AAAAAAAACl4/PZKOo15Eo38/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.08%2Bpm.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6yHjjmjSerA/VdGbjTeQl1I/AAAAAAAACl4/PZKOo15Eo38/s640/Screen%2BShot%2B2015-08-17%2Bat%2B2.02.08%2Bpm.png" width="622" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I got myself some boyfriend jeans a few months ago and I've worn them to death and continue to wear them. Owing to my newfound interest in blue jeans, I definitely think I'll be investing in some more. And flared jeans have definitely got my attention.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In other news, Charles and Keith have the best Autumn/Winter collection. I really want to hand all my money and some organs to them and buy everything. I may have already bought a pair of heels. Whoops. </div>

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lw1NXqrVSTM/Vcr_HkWM8HI/AAAAAAAAClM/ddzhbmu1BaI/s1600/2015-08-04%25252004.37.08%2525201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lw1NXqrVSTM/Vcr_HkWM8HI/AAAAAAAAClM/ddzhbmu1BaI/s640/2015-08-04%25252004.37.08%2525201.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I decided now’s a good time to review “grown-up” life,
because I’m in that odd in-between time when I’m hot out of college but I’ve
lived a good two and half months of adult-ish life. Maybe this isn’t exactly
adult life because I’m not making tons of money out of my job and I don’t have
children I have to take to school. But I don’t go to college anymore and make
my own breakfast. I think this is adult enough. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
And you know what? It’s kind of awesome. Sure I often have
the adult-life-isn’t-worth-the-hype moments when I just want to go back to
being younger. Although to be honest, I was never very good at childhood. And
when I speculate over my younger years, I did have some really fun times, but I
didn’t achieve much, really. Was average at academics, crap at sports, never
participated in extra-curricular activities – I basically just passively
existed. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Now my mind is perpetually scared and nervous and excited.
Now I look forward to meeting friends (that have stuck around over the years)
on weekends. Now I get thrills out of reading struggle stories of successful
old women and men and think <i>hey that
could be me someday</i>. And <i>these are my
so-called years of struggle and its kind of fun</i>.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The internet has never been a more informative space and
music never more inspiring than right now. I’ve never had more evenings when I
walk back home lost in thought, thinking about where my life may be headed,
wondering what every memory I have may mean for my future. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I definitely believe now that graduation is a milestone. Not
because of much else but because it marks the end of one kind of existence and
the beginning of another. I often look at “old photos” that are not older than
ten months and wonder where that phase has gone and if it will ever come back.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<!--EndFragment--><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
It probably won’t. And that’s not such a bad thing – I know
that now.<o:p></o:p></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_uo8-C7k-z8/VX70v6aNxBI/AAAAAAAACko/WitGMNTyRbc/s1600/44.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_uo8-C7k-z8/VX70v6aNxBI/AAAAAAAACko/WitGMNTyRbc/s640/44.1.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
When
I look around me, my eyes absorb what I see and I decide who I need to be
accordingly. Rectangular rooms, a cat and people who look a little like me turn
me into one kind of person. White desks, new faces, Apple computers and coffee mugs everywhere turn me into an awfully quiet version of myself. And stone pillars, wooden
benches and friendly faces make me the happiest version of myself. But the list
goes on.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
I
have never questioned why one needs to be so many different people. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">That’s just how it is.<o:p></o:p></i><br />
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"></i><br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
The
switches are quiet and smooth. They’re easy. They’re the purest version of
shape shifting I have seen in the real world. In dreams, people change form all
the time. My mom turns into my best friend and my cat is suddenly the guy I
crush on in college. And all this shape shifting goes unquestioned until I wake
up and go <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">what the heck</i>. But it all
makes sense, really. Because a dream is a reflection of reality, minus the
complexities. A dream is a blatant, straightened out version of reality. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
We’re
all so many different people, not just inside our heads, but also to the
outside world. If my best friend watched me at work, she’d be shocked at what
she saw. Similarly, if the people at my workplace saw me at home, they’d think
I was someone else. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
Am I
lying to any of them? Of course I’m not. I am all the people I pretend to be.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
Now
that I have started to give this odd phenomenon some thought, it has really
started to intrigue me. I get odd thrills when I mix up two of my worlds. Intersect
two planes of my existence. Once, amidst all the open tabs on the latest
fashion news on my work computer, I googled “hegemony pdf” and started to read
a sociology paper. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
Sitting
in an air-conditioned room, surrounded by racks of clothes and fashionable
people talking about fashionable things, secretly reading a sociological paper
felt exhilarating. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
Isn’t
it amazing how we live so many lives and can be so many people in one single
body? It overwhelms me every time I think about it.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
I
wonder if I will ever get used to the fact that different worlds exist. And most
of the time, my next planet is only a rickshaw ride away. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<br /></div>

To accompany my <a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2015/05/nude-everything-nails.html" target="_blank">very cool nude nails</a>, I like to wear nude eyes, too. And of course, one way to do nude eyes is to wear nothing at
all (which I love, too), <i>or</i> to use
nude products. Skip the black eyeliner and brown eyeshadow and work with nude
products in different textures. Here are two products I’ve been using loads
recently.</div>

The <b><i>Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to
the Bronze</i></b> is an old favourite (<a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2012/11/maybelline-color-tattoo-eyeshadow-in.html" target="_blank">detailed review here</a>), and although it’s more of a bronze than
a nude, if applied with a light hand and blended properly, it is pretty much
the perfect nude for dusky skin tones. I like to use this one all over my
eyelid and slightly under my lower lashes.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I also like this new eyeliner I’m trying out –the <b><i>Essence
Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Money Penny</i></b>. I was looking for a nude eye
pencil but settled for this one when I couldn’t find a nude. This one’s more of
a shimmery rose gold, but it looks beautiful in the waterline. Very subtle. I
also use it as normal eyeliner and then blend properly for some light behind
the lashes. </div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SWeLHc9hTzI/VWGOcLKFDFI/AAAAAAAACjw/6bSTn6cQntE/s1600/40.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="492" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SWeLHc9hTzI/VWGOcLKFDFI/AAAAAAAACjw/6bSTn6cQntE/s640/40.1.jpg" width="800" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
My obsession with nude nail polish is not a new one, but
definitely one that has amplified immensely over the past couple of months.
Honestly, I probably have already written something similar to this very post,
but I’m going to write this anyway because I cannot seem to get over this
trend. Nude nail polish. Nude lipstick. Nude eyeshadow. I’m thinking this would
make for perfect content for a mini series.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
As for nude nails, it has been all that has been adorning my
nails for the past couple of months. No jokes. Every time I try to switch
things up with some of my old favourites –a pale pink, a butterscotch or even my
supposed all-time favourite, a fire engine red, two days later, I am so annoyed
with how my nails look, I wipe it all off for a nude again. There’s something
very appealing about how clean and minimalist nude nail polish can look.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YV691JVMOhM/VWGOpJ8YLLI/AAAAAAAACj4/uxNVuo_QvKo/s1600/40.2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="492" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YV691JVMOhM/VWGOpJ8YLLI/AAAAAAAACj4/uxNVuo_QvKo/s640/40.2.jpg" width="800" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
See, I tried to think about why nude nail polish works so
well. I came up with –you don’t have to worry about it matching your outfit
because it always will, you don’t have to worry about it matching your skin
tone because it <i>is </i>your skin tone.
They’re essentially the “sweatpants” of nail polish, but they’re still
considered chic! It’s a win-win, really. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
My nude nail polish of choice has been <b><i>Maybelline’s Color Show Nail
Polish in Nude Skin</i></b>. One coat and it’s more of a skin-nude. Two coats
and it’s more of a brown-nude. I love both the looks. I love the Color Show
line of nail polish in general. I think they’re great quality for how
inexpensive they are.</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
If you haven’t tried this one out and you love nude nail
polish like me, or if you want to test it out, I’d definitely recommend this
one. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

If you're anything like me and have been hooked on to the blogging world for a long, long time, this particular piece of information might tickle your fancy. Bloggers have been talking about the <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Urban Decay Naked Palette </span>for a good while now. It has been on my wishlist for much too long. It always seemed a little like heaven to me -beautiful but untouchable because I had never actually seen it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Now imagine my surprise when I saw it sitting on a stand in a local store.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Yeah.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KwttpDULIso/VV16KOGalSI/AAAAAAAACjc/1TsSE_kAkWk/s1600/42.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KwttpDULIso/VV16KOGalSI/AAAAAAAACjc/1TsSE_kAkWk/s640/42.1.jpg" width="498" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">excuse the awkward picture, I had three seconds to click it</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
In short: IT'S AVAILABLE IN INDIA.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
At least if you live in Mumbai, that is. I found it at Khar's Beauty Centre along with a load of other gems - other Urban Decay products, Smashbox (props to you if you caught the Full Exposure Palette peeking in the background), Anastasia, random products by NARS, and more.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Obviously my first reaction was, "Are these fake?"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Obviously the lady at the counter said, "Of course not."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
And obviously I didn't believe her. I'd still say I'm skeptical. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>But. </i>By what my eye judged of them, they seemed original. I spoke to the higher up there and she told me that she had ordered them from a private retailer. Which makes sense.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
They're pretty pricey, though. I don't remember all the prices but the Naked Palette costs <span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;">₹</span>4750 which is pretty steep, if you ask me. In the US it costs about $54 which is around <span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;">₹</span>3434. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
But I think I'm going to pick it up anyway. Maybe not now, but soon enough.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;">I have a new found liking for dresses. I always thought I was a black skinny jeans kinda girl. Now, the thought of black skinny jeans make me cringe. Sadly, I own too many of them to completely abandon them. I have a new interest in denim and dresses. I think they can both be so versatile and transform smoothly from daytime to nighttime. Here's an old school outfit collage post with a few ideas to transform a summer dress from day to night. Let's leave the denim for another day?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"></span></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><b>Number One</b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v-vvG3TRAzM/VVwRrvRPBrI/AAAAAAAACiU/I6pdEoVfqx4/s1600/41.2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="560" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v-vvG3TRAzM/VVwRrvRPBrI/AAAAAAAACiU/I6pdEoVfqx4/s640/41.2.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Let's start with- I <i>want </i>that dress.I love the cut, love the subtle layering, love the colour, and love love love the print. I'm not big on florals, but that's such a cool floral print, isn't it? I'm also not big on flower crowns (mostly because I think they're so overdone these days, they don't represent the 60's anymore). But I think if you're doing florals, might as well overdo them. There's something insanely enjoyable about overusing a theme in an outfit. Hence the floral print bag in the evening look, see?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Number Two</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-evBrg0vzsxE/VVwRPTDKV-I/AAAAAAAACiQ/QfUBOXuCank/s1600/41.3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="518" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-evBrg0vzsxE/VVwRPTDKV-I/AAAAAAAACiQ/QfUBOXuCank/s640/41.3.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Clearly, I'm digging mixing prints. Printed shoes and striped bag for the day and a cleaner look for the night. I would have totally thrown a pair of black heeled pumps here, but I realized that I don't want to be saying that every nighttime look requires heels. Besides, who am I kidding? I'm crap at heels. The few times I push myself to wear them, they come off inelegantly in a few hours' time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WPatTs7tAxo/VVwg-zQtVFI/AAAAAAAACi8/5LqUOWLXEhw/s1600/IMG_20150222_220237832.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WPatTs7tAxo/VVwg-zQtVFI/AAAAAAAACi8/5LqUOWLXEhw/s320/IMG_20150222_220237832.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Number Three</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FxjkS80LgiQ/VVwR6clA5eI/AAAAAAAACic/INa0IT_xkXg/s1600/41.5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="546" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FxjkS80LgiQ/VVwR6clA5eI/AAAAAAAACic/INa0IT_xkXg/s640/41.5.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Boxy dresses, powder blue, scalloped edges, chunky heels- these are a few of my favourite things. Also, I'm loving that backpacks and sneakers are suddenly considered cool. I've always loved them and now I can wear them and feel like I'm part of the cool crowd unlike before when I just looked like one of the kids.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Number Four</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6A0sNf4yoKE/VVwSM5LdDcI/AAAAAAAACik/2jXydM38MdQ/s1600/41.4.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6A0sNf4yoKE/VVwSM5LdDcI/AAAAAAAACik/2jXydM38MdQ/s640/41.4.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So remember when I told you I'm into denim these days? I was mostly talking about boyfriend jeans. I <i>live </i>in them. I think they can be styled in so many different ways. Love it or hate it, I think they're really cute with that flowy boho-esque dress. Personally, I'd like those jeans better if they were rolled up a little. And then take them off, replace the converse for heels and you have a nighttime look! Also, I intentionally used "fall" colours for this summer look. Just because.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Number Five</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FwJqg3oPt7Y/VVwSW8gbQkI/AAAAAAAACis/qIY1wKSK5gE/s1600/41.1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="542" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FwJqg3oPt7Y/VVwSW8gbQkI/AAAAAAAACis/qIY1wKSK5gE/s640/41.1.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
And lastly, something to express my love for sleeveless, white, loose things. Also, how cute are those metallic heels?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I think glasses can make such a statement. I wanted to incorporate them somehow and almost put them in the day look but then I thought <i>what the heck</i>. They can be elegant and evening-appropriate too. I wear contact lenses and the pair of glasses I own look very similar to the ones pictured above (except they're cattier, which I love). So I just ditch my lenses for my glasses sometimes. And it works better in the evening because I don't have to bother about not being able to wear sunglasses.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
That will be all for today, but I have so many more similar (and not similar. Just many.) posts coming your way. Hope you're enjoying them.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0tQWXZEri6c/VRVq1bgZDOI/AAAAAAAAChQ/43Iu2OlnjwM/s1600/IMG_20150304_215826.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0tQWXZEri6c/VRVq1bgZDOI/AAAAAAAAChQ/43Iu2OlnjwM/s1600/IMG_20150304_215826.jpg" height="492" width="800" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been conscious about this being the fifth and last year of my college life for a while now.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What comes after the absolute end? I always wondered. And wondered and wondered. I expected to shed a few tears. Three months ago, I didn't realize how close to the end I was. Maybe when I have one month to go it'll hit me, I thought. One month to go and it still didn't hit me. Maybe when I have one week to go it'll hit me. One week to go and still nothing. Maybe on my absolute last day it'll hit me. My last day went by like a breeze.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's over now. Not a tear shed. But now that I'm on the other side of the line, I can tell how it feels. It feels odd. Nothing dramatic, but just an uneasy feeling.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"When do your vacations end?" my little brother asked me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"They don't end. I could sit around in my room forever," I told him.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And I can, if I want to (of course I don't want to).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From this second on, I have my whole life ahead of me. No plans. Nothing mapped out.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It really is odd.</div>
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-095Emlw1yBA/VQ5eWNM5gOI/AAAAAAAACgg/H6NYERbDHIU/s1600/38.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-095Emlw1yBA/VQ5eWNM5gOI/AAAAAAAACgg/H6NYERbDHIU/s1600/38.1.jpg" height="492" width="800" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The seasons are changing. Winter is gone for good. Summer is almost here (or <i>spring</i>, should we call it?). And the air has this uncanny dryness to it, which is so uncharacteristic of Mumbai weather. I like to call it the dry calm before the humid storm. My skin has been getting oddly dry for March. Sometimes even drier than it got during December or January. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here are the products I use to salvage the situation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q5MuVZidDQc/VQ5esHz7MRI/AAAAAAAACgo/qTFBK9jUSZw/s1600/38.2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q5MuVZidDQc/VQ5esHz7MRI/AAAAAAAACgo/qTFBK9jUSZw/s1600/38.2.jpg" height="492" width="800" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm really fussy with my face moisturisers. I'd rather wear nothing at all than have to walk around with a greasy face. For most of my life, I was a Lacto Calamine girl. I still use it every now and then. But somehow even that feels heavy on my skin these days. Not greasy, but heavy -like its coating my face with a thick, powdery blanket. My sister handed me her <i style="font-weight: bold;">Clean & Clear Oil Free Moisturiser </i>and surprisingly, it's been working pretty well! The thought of moisturising my face doesn't sound dreadful anymore, which really says something about this product.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But I don't think just moisturising is enough for to get rid of dry skin. I've always been a fan of exfoliation. I'm currently using the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Just Herbs Apricot Sparkle Invigorating Skin Radiance Scrub</i> (phew). Honestly, I think there are a lot of these available in the market that do the job. I'm using this one because it came in a Fab Bag. But what I like about this particular one is that it's not drying at all and actually leaves your skin feeling supple once you've washed it off.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My sister also let me borrow her <i style="font-weight: bold;">Sally Hansen 18 Hour Protective Hand Creme </i>(clearly I don't buy my own stuff) because my <i>hands </i>felt dry. Something that never happens to me. And my cuticles looked like they could do with some moisture, too. I love the formula of this one. Its non-greasy and doesn't make me feel odd about having moisturised palms. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And lastly, for lip balm, I've been using one I got from Marks and Spencer's. It's their <i style="font-weight: bold;">Vanilla Moisturising Lip Balm</i>. It's an interesting formula, this one -almost like a gel. But it does the job and I love vanilla scents so it works for me. (Warning: If you don't appreciate sweet scents, I'd suggest you don't go close to this one. It's scent can be a little too piercingly sweet. Kind of like how Jacob Black described Edward Cullen's scent in the Twilight books. If I remember correctly. That was <i>many </i> years ago. I swear I read better books now.)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
And of course, the last tip to solve almost any problem (and I can vouch for it, it really does work)-<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CweMPqlyUL4/VRAyl_Or35I/AAAAAAAACg8/tsyVvy5t0UU/s1600/38.3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CweMPqlyUL4/VRAyl_Or35I/AAAAAAAACg8/tsyVvy5t0UU/s1600/38.3.png" height="270" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UHXHEZ8vC-s/VOL34VjW5pI/AAAAAAAACe0/tpHbmnD1IE4/s1600/37.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UHXHEZ8vC-s/VOL34VjW5pI/AAAAAAAACe0/tpHbmnD1IE4/s1600/37.1.jpg" height="492" width="800" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm one of those people who are always very affected by the weather. The heat, the cold, the humidity -I am extremely conscious about these things and they affect my moods and behavior greatly. This isn't always ideal because I hate hot humid climates, it's hot and humid where I live, which is why the chances of me being in a perpetual bad mood are very high. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To counter this, I like to get myself excited for the change in seasons. Even though I'm not looking forward to the blazing summers, I'm looking forward to bright nail polish and tank tops and shorts and sunglasses. It may sound idiotic, but I have learned that it actually works. Similarly, I switch my makeup up every now and again based on what works best with the air around me. This is currently what I've been wearing.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With the winter came my opportunity to whip out my <i style="font-weight: bold;">Garnier BB Cream</i> that I love. I'm a little worried about what I'll use on my face with it gets hotter and I get sweatier. Oh well, we'll see about that later. Then, of course, my beloved <i style="font-weight: bold;">Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer</i>. I use this under my eyes, around my nose, on my chin and sometimes under my eyebrows. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have started to really enjoy wearing my <i style="font-weight: bold;">Faces Cream Blush in Sunkissed</i>. It's a beautiful, natural looking coral and when blended in with fingers it looks less like blusher and more like a natural flush. And boy do I love tricking people into thinking I have flushed cheeks. LOL.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been skiping mascara recently, so I stick with my <i style="font-weight: bold;">Lakme Insta Liner </i>and I love how matte this stuff is. I mostly go for a winged eyeliner, even if I don't want to. It feels like my fingers don't know any other type of eyeliner variation anymore. It's weird.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lastly, of course, <i>my favourite product ever</i> had to feature in this. On my lips I use any one of the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Maybelline Bold Matte Lipsticks</i>. The one pictured is MAT03. I need to get over this line of lipsticks and move on to other things, but I can't and don't want to.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am aware that these products are quite repetitive and they're all I ever talk about. But I thought I would do an updated post about my makeup anyway.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As far as life updates go, I have around a month or less of college to go and a lot of exciting things lined up because that's what happens when things end. You party like there's no tomorrow with the people you've loved for years and years until you're tired and ready to move on to new things. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Or is that just me?</div>
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bFfGaM3KAfA/VMuhn75l5MI/AAAAAAAACeU/qK2kfmPrAUQ/s1600/36.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bFfGaM3KAfA/VMuhn75l5MI/AAAAAAAACeU/qK2kfmPrAUQ/s1600/36.1.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I do enjoy my fair share of glitter. Funnily though, as much as I enjoy the sight of it, now that I think about it, I don't end up buying anything too glittery. Glittery nails, too, are something I like the idea of, but don't find myself wearing all too often. Until I discovered <i>this </i>particular combo. Burgundy. With gold glitter.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It felt like love. And I think it was.</div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xk5b0VBnnxI/VMuihPwiQTI/AAAAAAAACec/eaUOXW2hC_A/s1600/36.2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xk5b0VBnnxI/VMuihPwiQTI/AAAAAAAACec/eaUOXW2hC_A/s1600/36.2.jpg" height="398" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So this was basically my New Year's manicure, and I know that New Year's Eve is long gone, but I loved it so much that I thought I'd share it with you, anyway. Besides, I think it's appropriate ALL YEAR LONG.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I started with two coats of the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Molten </i><b><i>Maroon</i></b>, which is my absolute favourite nail colour right now (awkward note: my laptop sports a few strokes of this nail colour, too. Let's just say that I enjoy painting my nails whilst studying). Over the top of that I patted on my <i style="font-weight: bold;">Colorbar Glitterati Top Coat in Disco Gold</i>. Note: emphasis on <i>patting</i>. Patting the glitter as opposed to brushing it on really makes a huge difference. It transfers so much more glitter onto the nail. I could've made it even more sparkly, but I wasn't sure if I would hate it and want to take it off immediately. But now that I think about it, I would totally add some more glitter.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am aware that Colorbar now has a whole range of glitter top coats. I have my eyes on the silver one. But personally, I don't think anything beats the gold. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And there's something about the combination of maroon with gold that is just so... chic. I love it. And honestly, if taking the glitter off wasn't such a pain in the butt, I would totally have this on 24x7. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">although I do enjoy my nude nail polish ever so often.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello there. It's been a while. And although one look at my blog may make it seem like I spent the past month and half laying in bed, too lazy to open my laptop and write something in here, that is only partially true. I have actually been up to a lot of different things. But I also took a break from blogging, and not just out of sheer laziness, but because I had some thinking to do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a>It's 2015. And 2015 is not just the year I turn 21, but also the year I graduate from college and have to make big decisions with respect to what I want to do next and where I want to invest all the time I will suddenly have at my disposal.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And that will be an odd experience for me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I feel like from the time we're born (most of us, at least), we're thrown into this mass producing machine that puts us through all these similar processes, one after the other. And we tend to forget that we always have a choice. Although, most of the time, we <i>want</i> to forget. It's so much easier to do what everyone else is doing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fortunately for me, my parents have always let me do whatever the hell I've wanted to with respect to my academics. And so I have. But what happens when you do whatever-the-hell-you-want-to is that you have to constantly make decisions with respect to what you want to do next. And with that comes the constant lingering question of whether these decisions that your eighteen or nineteen or twenty year old self is so confidently making are the right decisions for you. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well. For the longest time as a child, I wanted to be a fashion designer. After school I realised that I was no good at it and then I instantly switched paths to Psychology because I enjoyed it so much. I thought I'd be a Clinical Psychologist. But then I realized that I enjoy writing so much. So I decided, Psychology wasn't for me and that I <i>must</i> pursue journalism. But I'm not big on politics or sports. So then I decided that <i>fashion </i>journalism is the best option for me. That sounded ideal. I love fashion. I love writing. I love blogging. It worked. This seemed like my final plan.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Until very recently. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't know what it was, but its like I had this grand epiphany. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fashion isn't what I want to do full-time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This kind of a revelation right around the time I should've been applying to post-grad colleges wasn't ideal, to say the least. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Which is why I took a break from most things that I was doing to really just think things through. I think I have a decision is place. At least for the near future. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And I also decided that I didn't want to stop blogging. Because I do enjoy it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I'm back!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2015 is going to be very different from any of the past years of my life that I have made it through (which is all of them, duh). And although I started off a little scared by the idea of it, I'm actually quite excited now!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Okay. That's all. Ramble over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you're having a brilliant new year, and maybe experiencing some grand epiphanies too. Haha.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: xx-small;">see you soon :*</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fQEyExdJGVY/VHGoU-KKLHI/AAAAAAAACbA/-36kAb_N3Jo/s1600/34.10.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fQEyExdJGVY/VHGoU-KKLHI/AAAAAAAACbA/-36kAb_N3Jo/s1600/34.10.png" height="398" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Pretty much everyone I know are into <a href="http://www.jabong.com/">online shopping</a>, it's not even new anymore. But for some reason, I've not been big on buying stuff online (except for books). I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because I always feared stuff would reach me in a bad condition, or they wouldn't fit, or something. But I shopped from <a href="http://www.jabong.com/women/">Jabong.com</a> recently and I actually quite enjoyed the process! Here are my thoughts-</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZClEsCWelKQ/VHGqtI7DyfI/AAAAAAAACbQ/fGDJcj0XvCI/s1600/34.7.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZClEsCWelKQ/VHGqtI7DyfI/AAAAAAAACbQ/fGDJcj0XvCI/s1600/34.7.png" height="468" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first thing I noticed is the sheer <i>amount </i>of stuff they sell. For some odd reason, I was always under the impression Jabong.com only did clothes. But they have clothes and shoes and jewellery and sporty stuff and lingerie and home stuff and perfumes and makeup and a ton of other things. The website layout is simple and everything on there is quite easy to navigate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LORW7jbuwCE/VHIhhW-S_WI/AAAAAAAACb0/PL4I7sqhx1o/s1600/33.1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LORW7jbuwCE/VHIhhW-S_WI/AAAAAAAACb0/PL4I7sqhx1o/s1600/33.1.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h53fnFm5IhU/VHIhF2Wu8UI/AAAAAAAACbs/wsAXdTS2bwI/s1600/33.2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h53fnFm5IhU/VHIhF2Wu8UI/AAAAAAAACbs/wsAXdTS2bwI/s1600/33.2.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0mIATArpFQs/VHIhvYjWdmI/AAAAAAAACcE/1VTHBL1xI2A/s1600/33.3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0mIATArpFQs/VHIhvYjWdmI/AAAAAAAACcE/1VTHBL1xI2A/s1600/33.3.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The four products that I ordered came packaged in two boxes, one rather bigger than the other, although it really only contained two nail polishes. But that's a good thing, right? The products were packaged really well. It was so full proof, I bet <i>nothing </i>could damage the products.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iHNAoWPlfRs/VHIkIVUbAnI/AAAAAAAACcQ/3S96pnbJBDg/s1600/33.4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iHNAoWPlfRs/VHIkIVUbAnI/AAAAAAAACcQ/3S96pnbJBDg/s1600/33.4.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--ux5FPfPMVw/VHIlgJMdwkI/AAAAAAAACcs/nWSKOPIg3jc/s1600/33.7.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--ux5FPfPMVw/VHIlgJMdwkI/AAAAAAAACcs/nWSKOPIg3jc/s1600/33.7.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As far as prices go, I didn't find any great deals, at least in the makeup and beauty sections. Everything was full price. But if you can find a coupon code, that's great. Although, if you want amazing deals, you must check out their <a href="http://www.jabong.com/gosf/">GOFW page.</a><br />
<a href="http://www.jabong.com/"> Jabong</a> do have a great variety with respect to shade range in lipsticks and things, but I found a lot of the new releases weren't available on the website which was a bit of a bummer. But all my products reached me within six days in perfect condition.<br />
<br />
Honestly though, I think this website is a great one for clothes-shopping. They have some absolutely brilliant brands. Many brands sell exclusively on Jabong. (Alia Bhatt has a line of clothing? I'm not a fan of hers, but the clothes are actually quite nice!) I also found various international brands that I <i>did not even know</i> were available for sale in India. Jabong stocks amazing brands like Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, River Island and New Look. How cool is that?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JM-DJtsCsQA/VHInOxR0OWI/AAAAAAAACc4/PWp4MKHrlTE/s1600/34.6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JM-DJtsCsQA/VHInOxR0OWI/AAAAAAAACc4/PWp4MKHrlTE/s1600/34.6.png" height="406" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OP05bbNkNRc/VHInZ4znVEI/AAAAAAAACdA/vxVW40i0b4Q/s1600/34.8.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OP05bbNkNRc/VHInZ4znVEI/AAAAAAAACdA/vxVW40i0b4Q/s1600/34.8.png" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I decided to go with cosmetics and not clothes this time, because, like I mentioned, I'm really odd about things fitting me right. But this website has a pretty decent return policy so maybe I'll try clothing next time!<br />
<br />
<br />
Overall, I was pretty pleased with my first <a href="http://jabong.com/">Jabong.com</a> experience, and will definitely be looking into more of their stuff.<br />
<br />
Have you shopped Jabong yet?</div>

Despite the fact that it's still hot out here in Mumbai, I can definitely feel the air getting dry and the evenings getting just that tad bit cooler. You know what that means? <i>Winters are close. </i>In anticipation of our upcoming winters, here's a bunch of outfit ideas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Let's start with admitting that many of us live in places that don't actually have seasons. Mumbai, for instance. We don't have an autumn. We barely have a winter, although I like to believe we do (we do!). But for the sake of this post, let's call this season <i>fall</i>, all right? I believe in enjoying trends of every season, no matter what. Also, I don't believe you need giant coats and heavy knitwear to classify your outfit as fall/winter appropriate. The world is a flexible place. Let's tailor fall clothing to whatever temperature we are bestowed with, yeah?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Layering is the best part of fall/winter clothing. But since we can't really "bundle up", I think cardigans are the way to go. They look season appropriate without being too thick and heavy. Which is why most of the outfits here will feature cardigans of some sort.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The outfit above is basically what I would wear everyday if I could. Let's just say that I <i>love </i>grays, black leggings and converse. I'm not usually a fan of non-neutral converse, but that particular pair may just have changed my opinion. I think they're a perfect pop of colour without being too bright. Also, I'm definitely having a little burgundy obsession going on this year, for some reason. You will see.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
For a nicer night time option, I thought it'd be really cute to keep everything else classy and very feminine and then throw on a giant comfy cardigan. See that burgundy theme again?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>OUTFIT THREE</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I think ripped boyfriend jeans are so cute right now. I mean, I always have and will always be a skinny jeans kind of girl, but something about the slouchiness of these make them look really cool in a very laid-back way.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Keeping with the comfy theme, I paired the jeans with a loose sweater, but then jazzed the outfit with a pretty statement necklace, some heels and a dark lip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
If you're a shorts person, I don't think you must give them up. I really like the look of a nice pair of high-waisted shorts with a long cardigan.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Also, aren't those boots <i>to die for</i>? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
A year ago I would've laughed at that style of heel. Goes to show that tastes change and adapt. Isn't that weird?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Now I'm a huge fan of plaid and tartan prints for the fall/winter time. I am also a fan of the schoolgirl-chic look. Which is where this outfit comes from. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Another tip? If you're looking for opaque tights like the ones above, check out Debenhams. They have some great deals on opaque tights.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Of course there had to be a plaid shirt in here. They're my fave. And even though I really wanted to pair the shirt with black skinnies and black converse or something, I thought I'd keep it a little more feminine with church's and those sunglasses. But the beanie and the dark lip add an edge to the look (I need MAC Diva in my life). Also, I cannot wait to crack out my beanie this year. Eep!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So that is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and looking at all the outfits. Now let's all make a little prayer to the Gods of Winter, k?</div>

<i>P.S. It was SUCH a hot day today. But the winters will come. I just know it.</i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Ever since the very first time I tried out mascara, I've been a fan. I love how a good mascara can just pull your entire makeup together in the most subtle way. I'm a huge Maybelline The Falsies lover, but I do drift every now and then. L'oreal is one of the few brands that almost always gets their mascaras perfectly on point. The last L'oreal mascara I had tried was the Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara, and I loved that. But this one? I love it so much better.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Uu4Y2UDZYqg/VFTg8cDtoDI/AAAAAAAACXg/Z38MpY9eXc0/s1600/31.2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Uu4Y2UDZYqg/VFTg8cDtoDI/AAAAAAAACXg/Z38MpY9eXc0/s1600/31.2.JPG" height="442" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The <i style="font-weight: bold;">L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara</i> is one of those super dramatic ones that literally makes you look like you have a million lashes. I could safely compare it to the Maybelline The Faslies, except that this one delivers in volume and is still very separating. It pretty much doesn't clump <i>at all</i>. Which is why it's one of those mascaras that you can really build up until you achieve the desired effect. And for a mascara lover like me, that is all I ask for.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I really do wish I had reviewed this earlier on, though. Because I remember when I bought it a few months ago, it was extremely wet and much easier to apply than it is now, a few months old and starting to dry out ever so slightly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
The brush on the one is a plastic one, and I know a lot of people prefer bristled brushes but I honestly don't get it. I think this brush works perfectly. I absolutel<span style="font-family: inherit;">y love the ov</span>erall packaging of this one. Love the black and gold, although it is kind of bulky. But I don't mind that.<br />
<br />
The only downside to this product is it's price point. At a whopping<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; line-height: 20.2222232818604px;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20.2222232818604px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">₹775, this is definitely one of the most expensive mascaras I've tried. And honestly, for a product that you have to throw out within a few months, I think that's a little much. But if you're okay with that, this is one mascara you have to try out! It's beautiful.</span></span></span><br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you read my <a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2014/10/crap-health-hospital-visits-and-just.html" target="_blank">Crappy Days post</a> you probably know that I've been ill with jaundice and therefore haven't left my home in weeks. I <i>miss</i> putting some makeup on, getting all dressed up and going out for the day. I literally put on some red lipstick when I was going to the doctor's today, but then took it off in the last minute because I was sure he'd think I'm crazy. But anyway, the one thing that has been my go-to pamper product has been this Original Source shower gel. It has provided me with a great deal of happiness, I can tell you that.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The <i style="font-weight: bold;">Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Gel</i> is a product I've had my eye on for absolutely ages, when I saw the range at my local Health & Glow. I finally got it a month or two ago and have enjoyed using it ever since -you can probably see I'm almost out, I've been using it so much. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My favourite part about this product is quite obvious: the scent. This stuff smells divine. I can tell it won't be everybody's cup of tea because it's quite a sweet, sugary scent, but I think it's perfect for the shower. It smells like vanilla and raspberries and strawberries and candy. My brother is over at my place right now and he loves using it too. He thinks it smells like Alpenliebe's strawberry lollipop, and he may be right. It just smells like happiness to me. My friend who isn't a fan of sweet scents didn't mind the scent of this one, but she said she wouldn't buy it for herself. The best part about this line of products, however, is that there are so many different options, I'm sure there'll be one for everyone's taste.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The scent lingers ever so slightly after your shower, but in a good w<span style="font-family: inherit;">ay. It definitel</span>y isn't the overpowering kind, which is always a good thing. What are perfumes for?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Other than in the scent department, it is still a pretty good shower gel. It lathers up decently and doesn't strip my skin of its moisture. And it does make me feel squeaky clean after my shower. What more could you ask for. Once I'm through with this bottle, I will definitely buy another.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Original Source Shower Gels retail for<span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;">₹225</span><span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20.2222232818604px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">which I think is a pretty good price for the product.</span></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Vegas.com asked me to create a few different outfits that would be perfect for a day at <a href="http://www.vegas.com/resorts/cosmopolitan/" target="_blank">Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas</a>, one of the premier hotel properties in, you guessed it, Las Vegas, as part of their #CosmopolitanChic blog challenge. Now, I've never actually been to Vegas, but I thought it would be fun to put together a few outfits that are appropriate for a vacation when you want to be super glamourous without having to pack up your entire wardrobe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4s9dl_QikOA/VEPn8Fy5JLI/AAAAAAAACUo/NiMd7D2ZL0E/s1600/lg_Cosmo---1---Exterior.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4s9dl_QikOA/VEPn8Fy5JLI/AAAAAAAACUo/NiMd7D2ZL0E/s1600/lg_Cosmo---1---Exterior.jpg" height="614" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Whether you're packing super fancy or super chilled-out, it's always nice to carry pieces that can be worn more than once. Keeping that in mind, here are three outfits that I think are cute, and share accessories so they'd keep the luggage light(ish). I also kept the nail polish constant, because personally, I can't be bothered with switching nail paint everyday, no matter how dressed up I'm getting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b> </b>Here's an outfit that I think would be perfect for a dinner at one of Cosmopolitan's gorgeous restaurants. I love dresses like these because they're classy, simple and can easily be dressed a few different ways. I also think statement neck pieces are the way to go when you want something small to really lift your outfit and make it shine. Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, I've kept the colours season-appropriate!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
This one's a more daytime-appropriate look using the same dress. I replaced the blazer and the necklace with a cute little scarf, and switched the darker lip for a nude colour.<br />
<br />
<b>Outfit Three</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EDq8Bbc046o/VESpYnbr0dI/AAAAAAAACVI/AoDQEKWU1nE/s1600/las%2Bvegas%2B%233.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EDq8Bbc046o/VESpYnbr0dI/AAAAAAAACVI/AoDQEKWU1nE/s1600/las%2Bvegas%2B%233.jpg" height="602" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I brought the blazer back for outfit number three, which is obviously a nighttime outfit. And how cute is that corset top? Paired with the blazer and the structured skirt, I think it's just the right amount of sexy and chic together. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
So here you go. Here's a life update for those of you who still lurk around my rather lonely blog. But it's been lonely for a reason and here's why. If you follow me on <a href="https://twitter.com/embellished001" target="_blank">twitter</a> you probably already know that I've been ill with jaundice and typhoid and whatnot. But this isn't the first time I've been ill in the past couple of months. Instead, it almost feels like this was the cherry on top of the cake.</div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A month or two ago, I had a bad allergic reaction and spent a night at the hospital. A week or two later, I was diagnosed with a few other issues. After all of that was gone for good, college got extremely stressful which I didn't mind until two weeks age when I fell ill again literally <i>during </i>my exams. I managed to write a few of my papers but then was admitted in the hospital for a week. I have only ever been a visitor in hospitals. I remember visiting my grandpa in his hospital room. And I remember way before that when I used to be upset because I wasn't allowed to visit on account of being too young. I have never been a patient in a hospital. It was odd having people visit me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm not trying to make a big deal out of nothing. I mean, it wasn't that bad. It was boring, that's for sure. In the beginning, I didn't have the energy for much. Later, I spent my days watching You've Got Mail and Thirteen Going On Thirty or whatever else was playing on Romedy Now. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now I'm home and not completely well, but I'll get there. I have to eat super clean for a month or two, at least. Which means there'll be no cake on my birthday. Which sucks, but oh well. A healthy diet is never a bad thing, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I think that my taste in nail polish has changed quite a bit in the recent past. I am really loving nudes and almost nudes, subtle pastels, but also the odd dark burgundy for my nails. But one of my all time favourite nail colours to sport is a pale, pale pink. It is white but not white, neutral but not nude, feminine without being too out-there and just over all very pretty. And here the nail polish I've been sporting for most of September.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
If you've been around for a while, you'd know about my obsession with <i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2013/05/this-week-revlon-pink-chiffon.html" target="_blank">Revlon's Pink Chiffon</a> </i> back in summer last year. But that dried out and I couldn't find it anywhere. <i>This</i>, though, is pretty much a perfect dupe for that one. This is <i style="font-weight: bold;">Maybelline's Color Show Nail Polish in Constant Candy</i>. I liked the finish of that one better but this one's cheaper so its all good.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
In general, I'm a big fan of Maybelline's Color Show range of nail polish. It's such a step up from their Colorama line which absolutely did not work for me. It has a small but nice selection of colours, the brushes on them are great, they don't take ages to dry on the nails and last a good two to three days with no chipping. In short, I love this stuff.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
In other news, how excited are you about October? Say hello to the beginning of the best part of the year!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DO-p8mXKt_w/VAsRKdL2B_I/AAAAAAAACTc/EWJqnasZnNY/s1600/27.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DO-p8mXKt_w/VAsRKdL2B_I/AAAAAAAACTc/EWJqnasZnNY/s1600/27.1.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love cleaning up and organising. I really do. But there are some parts of my room I like to ignore. My makeup drawers, for example. There's just too much stuff that requires (immediate) attention and throwing out, that I like to ignore it altogether. But recently I decided to not think about it too much and just go for it. Clean that shiz up. So I pulled out all my makeup and had a good look at it. And here are some of the gross, expired, dried up or just plain unflattering gems I pulled out.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-owbzbyCKvy4/VA8dgMVMb0I/AAAAAAAACTs/T131n8WN2SY/s1600/27.2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-owbzbyCKvy4/VA8dgMVMb0I/AAAAAAAACTs/T131n8WN2SY/s1600/27.2.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Kindly ignore the disgusting quality of this image. Before I realized how bad it was, I had already thrown the products out :(</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I remember back when I decided I was into "makeup", I though the first thing I needed to buy was foundation. And obviously, being the ignorant sixteen year old that I was, I headed straight for the Lakme counter, and picked up the first foundation I spotted, aka, the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Lakme Silk Naturelle Daily Foundation</i>. I don't remember ever getting on with this one. It always made me look ghostly, even though the shade was too orange-y for me. And after a while, it split on my skin and came off in weird bits. It was all just very, very nauseating. I swore off foundations after this one and switched to BB creams. And <i>yet</i>, this little guy was still hanging out in my drawer. It needed to go.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Next is a Lakme eye pencil. I cannot for the life of me remember what this was called. And the writing was completely rubbed off. But what I did know was that it was too old, and there was too little left anyway, and hence, into the bin it went. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have never been into Avon or Oriflame or the like, because I just don't dig products that I can't see, smell and swatch before I buy them. But there was this one time a few years ago, when I decided to be badass and order myself some Avon. It was this lipstick/lip gloss duo along with an eyeliner and nail polish, I believe. The other two were all right (actually, I don't remember), but this one was <i>so </i>not true to the colour on the catalog. The lipstick that was supposed to be a peach turned out to be a maroon. And the quality sucked as well. Out it goes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
More retro Lakme here. Remember when they sold these jumbo eye pencils? I believe they were called Kohl Sparkle something or the other. They were wayy past their expiry date, that's for sure. I had one in charcoal, and it was a glittery dark silver. I used to wear it all the time in the good old days of sparkly eyes and lip gloss. Eeks.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Speaking of lip gloss, my mum once got me the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Colorbar Star Gloss in Winter Plum</i>. Its actually a very pretty, very "fall appropriate" plum shade, which is why I really wanted to keep this one. But the truth is that I hate lip gloss on me, and that shade did not<i> </i>suit me. Not one bit. And most importantly, this product had a scent that I just Could. Not. Stand. So I had to toss it out.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And lastly, the most recent purchase, and actually a product I absolutely loved using, the <i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2013/04/maybelline-eyestudio-lasting-drama-gel.html" target="_blank">Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner</a>. </i>But sadly, I don't think I'll repurchase this one, simply because it dried out on me too quickly. And I did the whole pop-it-in-the-microwave trick, but I had to do it every single time I wanted to use it. And in the end, it just wasn't worth the effort. (Although I do have friends who used this for a long, long time without it getting dried out. I don't know what I did wrong.)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That is all for this extremely long, hopefully not too boring post. I am sorry for going MIA for so so long. I've just been super busy with stuff. But I do have some nice posts coming up soon.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YlLyb6dOS60/U-T-j7A3DOI/AAAAAAAACS8/hQ0RotiolmM/s1600/26.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YlLyb6dOS60/U-T-j7A3DOI/AAAAAAAACS8/hQ0RotiolmM/s1600/26.1.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I believe that makeup is meant to be played with. There aren't rules here. If a product doesn't work for me a certain way, I try using it for something else. For example, the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous </i>was a very exciting purchase for me because I had heard so many good things about this product. However, I was disappointed when I tried it on because it just wasn't pigmented enough for me and looked odd and glossy on my lips. Not my best look. But then I came up with an alternate use for it. Now I love it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a> This product is officially my easy, no-makeup day product. When I have no makeup on and I just want to add that tad bit of colour to my lips, this is the product I reach out for. And its a little different from the conventional pink lip tint. All I do is apply this on my lips and then dab it with my finger. That tones down the glossiness and leaves a nice sheen with an orange tint.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The best part, though, is that, like the name mentions, this product leaves a stain -which makes it long lasting. The sheen dies down and you're left with a more natural looking peachy tint. I really like that look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To add to that, it smells like peppermint. What's not to love?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall, I'm happy with the product and I also think it will work brilliantly, just as it is, if you don't have pigmented lips and like glossy lip products.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You will not believe how excited I was when I found out that Revlon released the matte version of these in India. I haven't bought one yet, though. Because they've hiked prices and it'll be something of an investment to get one of those. But some of those shades are so pretty. Maybe I'll pick one up. Who knows?</div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I had an obsession with buying dressy dresses. Expensive, dressy dresses. Until one day I realized that I have so many of them and barely enough places to wear them to. If you have friends like mine, you'd know how the only places you go out to are eating places that don't require you to throw on those heels and that snazzy dress. Putting on some red lipstick is as fancy as it gets. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So now, I like to buy clothes that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Take this dress, for example. It's so floaty which will work perfectly for this God awful weather. (When is winter coming?) And what I like is that you can dress it up or down by just switching up a few accessories. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have a dress that one of my best friends gifted me, that's similar. In the sense that it's super floaty, too, and I can get away with wearing it during both the day and nighttime. I honestly didn't think I'd wear it as much as I actually do. Great investment. Well, technically I didn't buy it. But I should invest in more of these.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Do you have multi-tasking pieces of clothing?</div>
</div>

<br />
I've been down with all sorts of illnesses lately. It sucks but I've just been chillin' at home, skipping college. Well, not really. I still have loads of work to do, articles to write, exams to study for. I've recently been OBSESSED with<a href="https://twitter.com/embellished001" target="_blank"> Twitter</a>. It's incredibly fun to read about irrelevant details of people's lives. No, it really is. Link me to your twitter handle, if you're on it too.<br />
Anyway, here's what I've been up to since my<a href="http://embellished001.blogspot.in/2014/02/instagram-2.html" target="_blank"> last Instagram post</a>.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a> I have an obsession with colourful food. I like my clothing neutral, but my food colourful. So when I spotted this Rainbow Cake on my friend's Instagram, and found out it's from Theobroma's, I had to have it. It was freakin' delicious. Really ginormous, though. I recommend it if you're really hungry, have the massive-est sweet tooth, or are sharing it with two other people.<br />
Next is a picture of me from two summers ago, back when I had the world's most messy hair and a blunt fringe. Those were the days.<br />
The third picture is one of me (centre) with my two favourite people on my parent's 25th wedding anniversary, back in April. Probably should have posted a picture of my parents, instead. Oops.<br />
Meet my gorgeous baby Nate. He's not actually my child. Lol. He's my cousin, but isn't he SOCUTE? Look at that hair! Don't be fooled by that innocent exterior, though. He was just sleepy. On the inside, he is devil spawned (hope his parents never read this).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l6kz5LKLtpA/U8izZcJJ4RI/AAAAAAAACSM/pB2YQVY5Prs/s1600/2013-03-19+17.28.27.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l6kz5LKLtpA/U8izZcJJ4RI/AAAAAAAACSM/pB2YQVY5Prs/s1600/2013-03-19+17.28.27.jpg" height="320" width="274" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next is a selfie of me letting go of the straight hair and embracing my curls for the summers. To be honest, I just bunch my hair up into a top knot most days because its too darn hot. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The last picture, and the most recent one is from when I went to Manali, during my vacations. I made the world's tiniest snowman and sang a particular song from Frozen. You know which one. Don't judge. I'm very mature on most days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That is all for this post. Hope you're having a great day!</div>
