Product Love: Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Solid Black- Review

Review time! I haven't done a review in a long, long time. But this product definitely deserved an entire post dedicated to it. So here we are. Let me introduce you to my new favourite eye product -the Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Solid Black.

I used up my Maybelline Colossal Kajal, but honestly, I wasn't a fan. I found it too dry for my taste and it smudged on me (in a bad way) and didn't last all that long either. And the more I used it, the surer I became of the fact that I need to hunt for something similar but better. And I think I may just have found that piece of perfection.
This Faces eyeliner is absolutely amazing. What I love most about it is that it is super duper smooth, extremely creamy and can be used for multiple purposes. In the picture above, I've used it to line my eyes, I've smudged some of it by the outer corner of my eyelid, tight lined my eyes with it and I've even used it on my waterline, smudging along the outer corner. It is suited for strategic smudging for about half a minute after applied before it completely dries and does not budge.

12 hours later

Now this picture was taken after a long day at college, around twelve hours after I applied it. You can probably tell that the areas that I had smudged have slightly faded away, but everything else is pretty much intact. Even the product on my waterline didn't move too much and lasted all day, which is a first for me!
This product does come with its downsides, though. Number one, it is an absolute pain to take off. You definitely need something oil based to get this off your skin. I just use baby oil so it's fine with me. But if you use a regular cleanser, you may have to switch things up for this one. Secondly, this isn't a twist up pen, so you actually have to sharpen it. and since the product is so creamy, the sharpening doesn't last long. Also, sharpening basically means a lot of product wastage, and when you love something, it's not exactly fun to watch it get thrown in the garbage, right?
But negatives aside, I do think this is the best eyeliner I have come across. I even use it with a brush if I want extra precision. And basically, there are just so many things you can do with this.
The Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil retails for Rs. 349.

Do you have a favourite eyeliner?
